So today’s job was a Ford Transit Custom fitted with the 2.0L Diesel engine, that produces 130hp standard.
The owner wanted a little more horse power and torque for the planned caravan that he was buying, he thought the new 2.0L wasn’t as good as the previous 2.2L 125hp engine that was the ‘norm’ for years with Transit’s.
So this vehicle is fitted with a Siemens Continental SID211 ECU which can be a little tricky to do via OBD, however as we can do both OBD remapping and Bench remapping mobile, i opted to try OBD first, the results were just what the owner wanted +60hp taking it up to 190hp and 460nm of Torque which is around another +75nm, on top of that he should net around 6mpg minimum per gallon of fuel used!
Not bad results for the price quoted! Plus another happy customer! Dyno Graph below shows gains.
